just famous faces pinned the wall
all of them watched her, none of them saw

And you’d, you’d freeze my spine.
We were looking in the mirror at the time
I got confused and thought your eyes were mine” - Shine it on Me

May 17th, 2011 is a very important date for us here at Simon & Garfunkel; it happens to be the day that this site, officially, came into existence.

When we first began posting I think I can speak for all of us when I say I was hopeful. With some of the most prominent S & G blogs gathered together, pooling their resources, I felt that this site could blossom into the kind of tribute that Paul and Art deserved. And here we are, exactly one year later, with an amazing community of Simon & Garfunkel fans all around us! And I think we’ve done something good here. Something to be proud of.

That is why we will be celebrating today; celebrating our community, our one year of posting, and of course Paul and Artie. We have a lot queued up for you!

We hope you enjoy and may you all have a Garfunkeltastic day!

- Elizabeth

"It was an incredible adventure. Just to travel, get on a plane, go to a town I’d never been to. At the beginning, we were thrilled to stay in a Holiday Inn: ‘Oh, great! They have a vibrating bed!’ The kids would invite us to their parties. We were only a couple of years older than they were. Artie sometimes hitchhiked from one gig to another."
— Paul Simon

brandy-man:

“They were getting ready to sing I believe Slip Slidin’ Away, and someone in the stands yelled out ‘I LOVE YOU PAUL SIMON!’ He sorta looked in the general direction and said ‘That’s nice, but how d’you think that makes Artie feel?’ And in the quietest little voice that just like, oozed affection, Art replied ‘It’s alright. I love you, too.’”
